L.A. FOR LOCAL WALKS: WALK FOR SHORT NEIGHBORHOOD TRIPS

Walking is key for better health and cleaner air. Walking more and driving less reduces traffic and its worst byproduct: air pollution. Plus, there’s no equipment needed.

Walking can:

  • Help lower your stress and blood pressure 
  • Reduce traffic — walking instead of driving for trips less than 1 mile will reduce carbon emissions. 
  • Help you explore your neighborhood and get up close and personal with L.A.
