VISION #1
ZERO CARBON TRANSPORTATION
Los Angeles’ workers and families deserve clean air, safe and livable streets, and more transportation choices. We are expanding our public transit, walking, biking, and rolling infrastructure. At the same time, we are investing in zero emission transportation to reduce pollutants on our roads and highways. We’re all about accessible, equitable transportation that helps communities thrive.
City Targets:
- Reduce car trips and vehicle miles travelled per capita by at least 13% by 2025; 39% by 2035; and 45% by 2050
- Increase the percentage of all trips made by walking, biking, and micro-mobility or transit to at least 35% by 2025; 50% by 2035; and maintain at least 50% by 2050
- Electrify 100% of L.A. Metro buses by 2030 and LADOT buses by 2028
- Increase the percentage of electric and zero emission vehicles in the city to 25% by 2025; 80% by 2035; and 100% by 2050
